How can you avoid depression?

My mom is worried im gonna fall into depression...she has been ever since i was diagnosed with Tourrette Syndrome (3 years ) ago. I used to have extra curiculers everyday after school and on weekends...now i do nothing.....how can i get back in life?

Buy a pet!!!!my cute little kitten always makes me happy when I'm upset...unless your allergic then just buy a gold fish or tea cup piggies there so cute!

Talk to the lunch lady's or custodians at ur school ask then there name the next day be like hey _______ they will feel so good that u remembered there name and u made a good deed by making someone else happy

And even though you have Tourrettes it doesn't mean you're going to fall into depression. My brother has Tourettes and he's a happy dude! Except he has a few anger issues... Not depression tho haha

Start small just start walking for 30 minutes a day. Exercising releases endorphins which improves you mood.

Talk to a doctor or a counselor and think of all of the good things that has happend to you in life and visit with your loved ones

Start a new hobby maybe they say an idle hand is the devil's plaything. If your mind is occupied it wont have time to wander.

You have more power over depression than you may think. ... Once you've identified your stressors, you can make a plan to avoid them or minimize their impact.

hang with your friends, listen to music, watch tv, play outside, sports, reading

You can read some books, have a short tour after a period of hard study! In fact the most effective method is to find out your own interests and develop it when you are not in a high mood, it might help a lot, the key is to learn to relax yourself! :)

Go some sports,some good tvs,some movies and so on.They are common but very useful.

sports always helps. music too never stop believing in your self.. i was bullied for 4 year just last month i tried to kill my self.. but i got back in to sports and live life bloc out anything thst makes you depressed...
