I'm so afraid to die! can someone help!?

I'm only 14 and all of the sudden I came to a terrible realization that one day I will die. I can't stop crying and I don't know what's gotten into me. I love god, I'm Christian and I believe in heaven but I'm still afraid. please if anyone has some comforting words that would be great. :)

I wrote something yesterday about this. You don't need to be afraid. We are all going to die and I believe, God is with us when we die and He gives people peace. Even people who die tragic and horrifc deaths. (and I've read of thousands who have experienced death and they say it is nothing to be afraid of)

Everybody will die someday (I realise that probably didn't help), and unfortunately you just have to deal with that and make the most of your life while you can. Don't think, oh no I'm going to die, because that could be in 90 year's time! Thank, I have 90 years in which to enjoy this wonderful world in which I live, and have fun while I can!

We're all going to die. From the moment we take our first breaths we are dying. And that is one of the three guaranteed things in life: you WILL live, you WILL die, and you WILL pay taxes. Unfortunate, I know. However, you can't be so scared to die that you forget to live.

Don't worry. Dying only takes the years off of the end.

when you die and believe in God you go to Heaven it is a place God made where you live forever and never grow old or get sick anymore you have a new body so if u have no arms you will have arms in Heaven. and God knows when he will call u home it is a certain time if u live for him there is nothing to worry about cause u r fulfilling his purpose and will make Jesus say welcome home thy good and faithful servant. :)

You said that you're a Christian then this should comfort your heart. Enjoy ===================================But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed! It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed. For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies. Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: ?Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? ? For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless. (1 Corinthians 15:51-58 NLT)

I just don't like to think about it... Just remember it's part of the circle of life... And stop thinking about it so hard! Just say you have a lot of years to come and by the time you get up in age people will be living to 200! So you'll be just fine :)

Let that be motivation to enjoy every previous minute you have. No one knows when their end will come, so this is utmost. If religion gives you comfort, use it. The bottom line is make the best life you can, while you can.

A study was done which interviewed people who have had a "near death" experience; that have died for a few moments and been brought back. They reported different things from the "other side" but none of them, including people who didn't remember exactly what did happen, said there was anything there that frightened them. So, whatever happens after we die, from nothing at all to exploring the universe, it's nothing to be frightened of. Take a deep breath and relax.

Dieing is like going to sleep at night and not waking up. Only Jesus will be able to wake you at the resurrection. If you are right with God you have nothing to fear; If not I recommend you get right with Him, by taking things to God in prayer.

Trust God.

Life will be brighter than noonday, and darkness will become like morning. You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety. You will lie down, with no one to make you afraid, and many will court your favor. (Job 11:17-19 NIV)

Take comfort in your Gods , I'm curious as to what brought on the sudden thought about death . Your time of passing on to the next incarnation will happen when you have learned the lession that this life has to teach.

I've had the same fearful realization since I was 5 years old! I've wasted so much time worrying about it that I now realize at age 30 it's inevitable and that I just need to live life to the fullest at this very moment. You are still very young- you have a long way to go!!!

Even the most secure, devout believer can have occasions when they fear death. It is hard-wired into our systems to avoid death. And death was not an original part of God's plan for His creation. We were made to be whole and holy, living in paradise in communion with Him. Knowing that in your head doesn't necessarily counteract the visceral reaction to the thought of your own mortality. The fragility of our physical bodies and the sudden cessation of life are violent reminders of our lack of control in a large, dangerous world. We do have a great hope, that He Who is in us is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). And He did go to prepare a place for us so that we can join Him (John 14:2).
