Should I give it to them?

My sisters b-day is coming up and she is 11 and she says that all of her friends have an iPod touch, and she really wants one and I have one, and an iPhone, my parents want me to give up mine so they can give her that for a present( keep in mind my birthday is in 3 days) I don't know if I should give them it with all of the songs I bought on there, or make them buy her a brand new one? and she would buy all of her songs and games. I don't really want to give it up because I got it from my parents for my birthday last year.

Why would you waste your parents money buying something made specifically to listen to music. Why not buy her a smartphone?

If i was you i would do it for my parents , you are a family and should share, you have your iphone ... you will feel like a million dollars to do something so nice for your parents and little sis , you could maybe work out a deal on a itunes card for you to put some songs on your iphone :)

Personally, I wouldn't think much of getting a "gift" that's a used item, coerced from the hands of my sister by over-bearing (cheapskate) parents.
You can tell them I said so.

You have no idea what his parents could be going threw in this moment... job loss , bills , ect ... if all you get for your birthday is parents that love you and are you are all alive and well that is a wonderful birthday

My parents aren't going through any of that, just bill money, but I see your point, thanks

Basically you have two of almost identical device, aside from phone feature.
The fact that your parents want you to give it to her could mean they are strapped for cash. It's weird that a parent would ask for this. I'd give it to her. Good luck!

Your parents bought that for you a year ago and now they want you to give it to your little sister? That's not fair at all. Unless you want to give to her out of generosity, your parents shouldn't make you give one of your favorite possessions to her. What's even more unfair is that your parents bought it for you. You don't have to give the iPod to her if you don't want to. Talk to your parents about it. They shouldn't be making you do that.
