The Warriors were one of the founding teams in the NBA and were located in Philadelphia. When the league wanted to expand West, they Warriors were relocated to San Francisco. Some of the places that they played in when they first arrived in 'The City' included USF's Memorial Gym and eventually settled on The Cow Palace, where they played for a number of years. It was during their playing days at The Cow Palace where the jerseys bearing 'The City' logo originated. Thus the twin towers representing the Golden Gate Bridge.
