They love to take a wooden spoon and bang on the bottoms of a bunch of pots and pans like drums. Just set them up around him/her and give them a spoon and show them what to do and they will love it. They also like the noise of paper tearing in half. Get an old magazine and show them how to teat the pages out of them. Or give them pages from a newspaper and let them tear it in pieces. Also, a good snack would be Cheerios cereal dried and they love to try and pick up tiny thing to eat, which is why you have to make sure there isn't anything around small they can out in mouth accidentally. They love to climb into big boxes they is layed down on it's side. They love to put small toys in boxes and have you dump it out and then do it over again. Al of these things are learning games. Just make sure to never take your eyes off of them for even a second. Also, before nap time, put them on a big blanket and have toys around for them to play with. They MAY even like to read a book with you and they turn the pages. When they start getting tired, lay down with them and sing soft songs with them and the baby may even try to sing with you. Always speak softly to a baby and be very gentle.
