I deleted many programs I don't use. I started getting more free space on my C drive. But now I am running lower and lower on disk space.

Click Start, and then type cmd Search box. Right-click Command Prompt, and click Run as Administrator. When you are prompted by User Account Control, click Continue. At the command prompt, type powercfg.exe /hibernate off, and then press ENTER. Type exit and then press ENTER to close the Command Prompt window.

The best fix for the error is to compress the disk drive. This will free up space and ensure that there is enough space to utilize. To do this, open the "C" drive, click on the properties window and choose on the compress option. Click "apply" to finish the process.
