How can I create a good game that has to do with the environment?

I have to come up with a game to play for 5th graders. It has to be about the environment and the game can't be more than 5 minutes long.

See which child can pick up the most "trash" and "recycle it" in 5 minutes. Whoever does, wins a prize.

Actually based on Cjkenkel's idea, you could give them each a painting of a polluted environment, and ask them to find the flaws of that. And at the end make them conscious of what pollutes the environment.

"Reuse = Recycle" Divide into groups. Give each group items that could be considered trash. Have them put ideas to reuse the items on post-it notes and attach them to the items. Remind them that with paint or decoration, these things don't have to be ugly. You can give points for quantity, quality and creativity.
Examples:
*empty coffee can = car wastebasket, flowerpot, ...
*empty jar = piggy bank, leftover food storage, ...
*box = cat bed, storage container, ...
*scratched CD/DVD = coaster, frisbee, ...
I definitely recommend each group has a box. It's a great way to easily distribute the items. Be sure to tell them their box is one of the things to label. Have fun!
