Can I text someone without their number appearing on my AT&T bill?

I forbid my daughter from texting someone and I haven't seen his number on my bill so I am wondering if she is just obeying me (LOL) or there is a way around it

Didn't mean to report that ^ sorry but yes there is many ways around that! You could also read her text online .

Well ... if the bill shows every number called/texted ... then it should show.

Of course, you could also call AT&T customer service and have them block any calls/texts to or from that number.

Yeah, there is a way around it.
The person just gets a different number.

The person could be using a different phone to keep in contact with your daughter, or she could be borrowing a phone from someone else. So yes, there are ways around it, kids are quite resourceful. IF he or she has a smart phone there are lots of ways to get around it. Apps like Kik, Voxer and many others ... facebook chat. The one you will want to look out for is Textfree or something similar. It would give her a different number to contact him through on his own phone. These are just some ways for them to keep in contact with out it showing up on your phone bill.
