we get hurt emotionally because of society. It kind of gave us an idea of how to react to things over time. and we get hurt physically because your brain controls your whole body, and knows everything going on with your body, so when you get hit, it's like a message was sent from the place you got hit to your brain saying "ow!" Though, we have these things called endorphins, i think that's what they're called, and they make things hurt less, and heal faster. but less of them work, the smaller the injury.
Great question! Many of us have wondered the same as you. Why do people get hurt? Why do we suffer & will it always be this way? Please take a few minutes & view the short article found in the link below that I have copied & pasted for you. Hopefully you will find satisfying yet realistic answers! Hope this helps, it helped me!
We need to feel pain, both emotionally and physically, because otherwise, we would have no idea how to react to anything. If you cut your hand and you have no idea that it's bad because there's no pain, you'll probably be like, "that's normal" and suffer from it. If somebody starts talking trash about you, right to your face, and you aren't hurt by it, you'll move on and have no idea.
