Why does my cat grunt when jumping or is asleep and I bump her lightly?

When she jumps she kinds of grunts like a err noise. Or when she's asleep, and I accidentally bump her she will do it, is this normal or is my kitty weird like her owner?

She's just caught by surprise. Most animals do that:)

That means the cat does not want to be bothered and cats are very sensitive
