The biggest thing about family vacations is that all members interact with each other. The amusement parks are fun, camping is great, museums are terrific, any point of historical or cultural interest is highly desirable as long as everyone is relaxed and enjoying themselves. It's not always about being entertained; it's more about being together, breaking out of routine, yet all functioning together harmoniously. Reading together out loud, card games and table games are good. Creative activities are great, too. Brainstorming on random acts of kindness, then acting on them is incredibly bonding.
