Who are some good jazz musicians/ artists?

I'm really interested in listening to more jazz music but I'm not very familiar with any jazz songs or artists imparticular. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Richard Wright. He isn't necessarily jazz, but he was heavily influenced by it, which shows in his frequent saxophone solos in his first solo album, Wet Dream.
