I am having a lot of back pain, please read*

okay, so i take a weight training class, and about 2 months ago, i hurt my back. ever since then, ive had a sharp pain in my lower back right next to my spine... a really pinchy pain. yesterday, i was doing deadlifts, and my back just exploded with pain. now the pain is worse than ever before. i cant move without it hurting, especially when i stand up, sit down, or try to move things. im pretty sure this has to do with a pinched nerve, as i have gotten an xray last month just to be sure. what can i do to make this pain go away? i have 500 mg neproxin, but it doesnt help at all

See a orthopedic surgeon, and soon. It sounds as if you've ruptured a disc, and that needs to be seen by a qualified physician to prevent possible paralysis. I didn't, and now use a cane to help when I walk and drag my left leg due to permanent nerve damage.

Well i think you stressed yourself a lot a training session. It would be better if you consult your doctor. And don't even think of going to classes until it cures.

Get a MRI, you could have a fractured back.

Try hanging from a pull-up bar for about 15 seconds, take a small break and do it again. I would limit how much weight lifting you do though.

Try going to a Chiropractor. If it a pinch nerve a good chiropractor can help you.

that kind of happened to me because of the way i was stretching. You should stop wieght training for a while so your back could heal and so you wont put to much stress on your back. Do some stretchs for low back pain and maybe put a heating pad on it.
