I think a lot of the time it can corrupt a persons ideas of what is important in life. At the same time I know a lot of wealthy people who haven't forgotten. I think it also depends on if you always were wealthy or had humbler beginnings.
It has to affect you in some way, but some people totally lose control and these are the celebrities you see in the paper missing court dates, dropping out of rehab, and generally acting as if their fame excuses them from the rule. Then there are the rich, famous, successful people you never see in the news EXCEPT in relation to their ordinary (if that is a proper description) business in their career: new movies, appearing at awards, doing benefits, and otherwise keeping control of their lives.
I think that the answer is yes because once people get their hands on money, they can't get their hands off of it and the money takes too much attention. They aren't the same people then. Also, instead of an appology or something, if that rich person did something, they probably just give money and think it solves everything. I don't think it's that good of a thing to have a lot of but who knows, people are all different so you never know who uses it in what way. My opinion :)
