Well assuming you're not from the south and still smarting over what William Tecumseh Sherman did on his march, Lincoln. It would be interesting to travel to an alternative universe and see what the US and the world would be like had Kennedy not been assassinated. I am NOT calling Kennedy "great" but he did embody an optimism that I believe has been missing for a long time. I think Taft was a great big fellow. He weighed much more than me when he was in the White House.
great question! the answer may be a topic of some debate. if you look back @ history, there were some great men in that office! even a few undercover women presidents (behind every great man is a great woman!) read up on Pres. Wilson and the stroke he suffered at the end of his term. Many say his wife ran the goverment for him. There were quite a few coasters/bumbs in that office also! I would say it was prob. Lincon. because of what he had 2 endure durring his watch 2 keep this country from falling completely apart durning the civil war. no pres. pre, during, and post Lincon had his plate as full as he did! i think if Booth hadn't killed him, the stress may have! check out the photos of him pre office untill his death and watch him age instantly. there were others that did much in the White House but, again, I feel Lincon was the Greatest. Bouna fortuna
In my lifetime I used to think Clinton was good. Life was good, the economy was good, we weren't being attacked by terrorists much and he had a great personality. I then woke up and realized he was only enjoying the benefits of the hard work Reagan did and in fact Clinton was a traitor who sold missile secrets to the Russians on the promise the technology would only be used to launch weather satellites. Now they have missiles that can reach the US shores... He also had many questionable deaths of friends and defendants who were about to testify against him in his scandals and thuggery while he and Hillary were in Arkansas. Look it up. So now that I have become informed, I would say Ronald Reagan was the best president. He wasn't perfect and never should have believed the Democrat lies that if he raised taxes they would cut spending. We are still waiting for that to happen. He uplifted the country with hope, humor and conservative values. We could sure use that right now. Instead we have "chicken little" who puts fear in the hearts if the low information voters.
