Consider F=ma. If a car "weighs" 3200 lb, is that its force or its mass?

If 3200 lb. is weight, what would be the corresponding mass units?

Mass how could it be force. force is expressed in newtons not pounds. also mass is in grams not pounds so think about it.

mass = grams in the metric system. Not English system. Newtons = force, kg = mass. We say a car's mass is so many kg if in a metric country. The English system is confusing :[
