Do you think icess is a pretty name

Report as

I think it's spelled Isis as in Greek and Egyptian Goddess of fertility. http://www.angelfire.com/journal/ofapoet/isis2.html

I think that Icess is a pretty name. It sounds more of a feminine name probably a variant of the name Isis, which means powerful. Read more from http://www.thinkbabynames.com/meaning/0/Isis.

as formentioned, thats the name of a goddess that may have originated is the Sumarian and Babalonian (modren Iran an Irac) areas. She was best known as an Egyptian, Greek, and Roman Goddess. She had a devout female cult following up untill Christiany ushered in a new religious climate in the regions of the followers. ps, Sofia was the Greek goddess of wisdom. bouna fortuna

Same as Samaramis or Ishtar?
Report as
Yes and no... She went by many names in many places. 4 the most part she was the same goddess of heaven no matter what her name was. In egypt she was wife of Osisris. When Alexander the Great conqured the mediterian, parts of the cultures were assimulated in2 their own. Isis was 1 that the Greeks adopted as their own. when roman rose 2 power later in history, they called her Juno. kinda like the Greek god of the sea is Posidon. The Romans changed his name 2 Neptune... She has ties 2 being mother nature also... how 'bout them apples?
