I have a pain in my heart. It lasts for 1 to 3 beats. It occurs after I have had alcohol or when I am tired. I also have 140 BPM.Any ideas?

You have what is known as a medical condition. Because your heart is so important, you should go to the Emergency Department to make sure it is not a medical emergency, and then you should follow up with your primary who may send you to a specialist. You know, if your car breaks down you can wait a few days or weeks and the problem will still pretty much still be the same. In the human body you ignore a medical problem, it can go from being minor to permanent and even deadly in a very short period of time. You should go to the ER and tell them you have chest pain. You should go now. Good luck.

You could be experiencing a heart problem as per your description. I would advice you to visit a physician immediately have various test carried out to determine the cause.

Please see a doctor. It could be minor, or it could be a major problem. You won't know until you are checked out by a doctor. Please don't wait. Alcohol speeds up the heart rate, so please don't drink anymore until you see a doctor.

You probably might have high blood pressure.

There are a couple doctors in the Ask community, but none of them would ever diagnose anybody they haven't examined. But most people here are either very young or are, like you, not medical people.
As people have answered you already, you should see a doctor immediately. If you are experiencing chest pains, intermittent or not, any 911 service will tell you to go to the ER immediately. An at-rest heartbeat rate of 140 is dangerous (unless you've been running). I don't know how old you are, but even if you're a kid yourself, chest pains mustn't be ignored, ever.
In fact, you should probably call 911 for assistance, rather than trying to drive yourself. If you have something serious going on, it's best that you not be at the wheel in case you faint or something.
Go and do it now, and take care of yourself! :)

Stop drinking and see a doc. Alcohol speeds up the heart and puts more stress in it and raises BP. If you already have one or more clogged arteries the alcohol is just accelerating your end. See. A. Doctor. ASAP. The next pain you feel may be the very last thing you feel -ever.
