What I do for mine since I never see him is I write to him. I tell him all the things that have happened to me that I know'll make him smile.
You could try writing to your boyfriend or emailing him and telling him about how much you miss him, and talk to him about whatever it is that's going on with him. Like if he has a game or a really important test wish him luck and ask him how he did later. If he's upset, send him a funny video or something.
You don't have to be there in person to make him feel better. You just have to find a way to show him you still care.
