Why is it so hard to breathe right now?

On Wednesday I had a scratchy throat, Thursday I have a sore throat, Friday is was much worse and I had a cough, and today I am a little stuffed up and there is thick gunk in my throat which makes me need to cough but it hurts too much. My throat feels like how it would for a title bit after running forever in gym class. But it retains the pain. I di t have a fever. Just recently it has become really hard to breathe. My throat and mouth are clear it's just like there is something in my throat that is blocking all the air. I sound like Darth Vader right now. It feels like I am breathing through a straw that someone is pinching closed. I took a strep test andit came back negative both times. What do I do?

You have a cold. Take a hot shower and when you get out blow all the gunk out of your nose. Your throat is sore because all the gunk dripping down the back of your sinuses. Take a antihistamine like Benadryl. Drink plenty of fluids and get plenty of rest.

You have a bronchial infection.. I get it about twice a year.. You need to get an antibiotic soon to clear it it up.. Meanwhile, you can take a cough medicine that has guafenisen.. (Sp).. It will help loosen it up some. And drink lots of water. I sound like darth vader too right now.. See a doc plz..
