Young new cat being mean/ territorial with other animals who are now scared of the cat, what should I do?

My family got a new cat about a month ago, Fiona, she was feral and she's still a kitten(about a year or something) Since she has come into the house, our other old cat, Bella about 7 years, has started to become fearful of Fiona. I've found Bella hiding in our garage with Fiona blocking the door out into the house a couple times and have had to move Fiona away for Bella to come out. Another thing is that our 6 year old dog Axel is also scared of the small cat. He's a golden retriever so I know he's not supposed to be a good macho dog. Nevertheless, its annoying having the animals be afraid of the new one. Personally I don't like cats much but I don't like to see the one cat I like, Bella, afraid of Fiona. Help me internet, how do I stop this annoying behavior?

To control the situation, you would have to take Fiona under behavioral training. You can do this by clapping your hands or using a loud voice whenever she does something bad to the others. With time, she will learn that, you are the one to give instructions. You should also take her to a vet for examination just to make sure that nothing medical is causing her aggressiveness.

Thanks for the info, ill be sure to be more commanding with Fiona. I don't want to hurt the cat or make her antisocial by forcibly moving her from place to place so ill just try to stern with her a bit more haha Thank you again

Nothing you can do. The young cat established its dominance over the older cat. That's natures way, especially being a feral cat..

That is true, Bella and Axel have never really been dominate over anything, except maybe food.

Find her a home where she is the sole animal. Better for her and the existing members of your family.

I've been telling that to my mom, Fiona is her cat actually. I just seem to be the only one out of us who isn't enthralled by the thought of a cute young kitten in our home. Ill try to convince her otherwise though. Thanks for the input!

You need to give up Fiona to someone who doesn't already have animals. She doesn't play well with others and its not fair to your long time pets. I had this happen. It was hard but my pet was traumatized by the cat.

That is exactly what I don't want to happen. I may not like cats much, but I've grown fond of Bella and her lazy ways. I don't want her to feel trapped in her own home. Thank you for the input.

My cat had been through a lot so when the new guy came and was really aggressive (and wasn't responding to discipline), I said enough! I felt bad but I know he got placed.

Invest in a squirt gun. Use it while telling her no when she is misbehaving. Make sure your other pets have a safe spot away from her. Exercise her a lot. Wear her out so she is tired.
