I'm 15 I Don't Know My Height But Am I Old Enough To Lift Weights Without Stunting My growth Or hurting My Growth Plates?

I wanna get taller I'm about 5'9 I think idk but I also wanna get in shape I ask others and they say weight stunts growth and others say it does not I don't know who to believe

You are old enough to begin a weight training program. No, it will not stunt your growth. It is advisable to get a Dr's opinion before beginning an exercise regimen. Once you begin, you'll be well served to learn to do the exercises properly, before applying increasing resistance. Get yourself a suitable diet plan. There are innumerable sources of training advice available to you. Determine your goals and train toward them.

I have a fitness teacher at school and tells us what we should lift and not he gives us about 15 pound dumbbells and my bicep is pretty sore lol I ask him this and he said no it won't stunt your growth were old enough

Lifting weights will not stunt your growth.
That is a myth.
