One of the biggest things people complain about is Medicare.I don't think people realize that the problem isn't the program but the fact that the standard American diet is making everyone sick.So educate people about proper nutrition .People can buy coke with food stamps. It's ridiculous.
The government is by the people, for the people. We certainly do have a say in the way our great country is led. To be terse though, if you want the course of our nation to change, you can't be a chameleon. You have to decide, for yourself, your beliefs and then make them known. If you are truly concerned about our country's out-of-control spending (as am I), you have to protest and speak out and make your voice heard! That's the problem with America, we have become so consumed with our own little world that we have lost sight of the bigger picture. Look at Martin Luther King, Jr. For example. He is so well known because he had the guts to stand up and fight for what he felt was right! He was the role model, the figure, that inspired so many to stand up for their beliefs. And look how he, they, conquered. They made their voice known and accomplished so much. We can do the same if we will put the effort in! Talk with people you know and those who hold the same perspective as you and hold meetings addressing your real concern about the path our government is taking, write to senators, representatives. Don't let this crucially important matter pass by without action.
