What to bring on a trip to England in late March/early April?

We leave March 28th and stay in Harrogate and then London until April 4th. I have absolutely no idea what to pack! What's the weather like? Is it as rainy as people say it is? We're going to be in the Harrogate International Youth Music Festival (look for Cantabile Choirs of Kingston! :D) and so we're staying at a boarding school while the students are on their break. Is there anything I should make sure to bring? Please help! thanks :)

* It most centrainly doesn't rain all the time but it's definitely worth packing a rain coat and/or umbrella in case you do get a rainy day
* March/April is spring so the weather should be fairly mild but the weather can also be a little unpredictable. The best thing to do is to bring clothes you can layer rather than hot weather or cold weather clothes so you can layer up/down depending on how it turns out and how you find the climate
* If you have a phone you should see with the service provider what the terms and conditions of using it outside the country are
* If you're bringing any electronic devices make sure to bring a power adaptor so you can use the different electrical sockets
* If you're getting a train or coach down to London from Harrogate bring something to read for the journey

Enjoy your trip!
