How should I answer this interview question, "What is your biggest weakness?"

I'm trying not to answer with, "Sometimes I am too careful...
I'm applying for an office job, but I'm kind of quiet. How do I spin that in a more positive way?

You can say something like "I tend to have an understated style and people don't always know what I'm thinking. So I have learned to make sure I give my feedback explicitly when needed, and encourage people to ask me if I haven't been clear.

Good answer; shows that not only recognize a personality trait but also have taken steps to turn it into a strenght. Nice!*****

do not focus or talk about your real biggest weakness. I would try something like - I am not a clock watcher. While I am never late for work I sometimes forget to leave at the end of my shift. And to stop leaving late I now set an alarm on my watch for 10 minutes after shift ends.

If you are too quiet or shy, then say that. Employers know "too careful" and "perfectionist" are just BS. If you are quiet, say you are quiet. It gives you time to focus on your work. Let them know that as you get to know people you come out of your shell.

Tell them that you are shy but that you are working on being more outgoing. Making a negative a positive
