Rent eviction notice
how long before a landlord can evict a tenant for non-payment of rent
A landlord should evict a tenant for non-payment after about a week. This usually involves giving a tenant a proper notice that the rent is outstanding. This justifies all of the legal requirements for proper notice.
The laws vary state to state, but non payment of rent where I live only requires a 3 day notice.
We need more info? How behind is the rent ? I think it's about 3 months of non payment before action can be taken.
