Chocolate, especially dark chocolate, increases the amount of serotonin in your brain. Serotonin is a feel-good endorphine and is automatically released at times like whenvwe are in love. Chocolate can have the same effect, only on a more short term basis.
Coming from a food expert, my stomach can prove that... Um... chocolate is a soothing and calming species of a food item. Especially to women and their freaking periods! According to a 2013 survey, more females say they eat chocolate to calm them and sooth them rather than for pure, sweet bliss. I personally think chocolate is my boyfriend. I could eat chocolate every day. But that also would add on to my weight.. And yeah... it's sweet and makes me feel happy. :D Maybe it's just me. (No, it's not...) :)
