Do you believe in modern day revelation? Why or why not?

I just want to know what everyone else believes. I know what I believe about revelation, but am interested in hearing from all of you...

It depends on what you mean by "revelation." If you mean prophecy, then my answer would be "no" because of what is stated at 1 Corinthians 13:8. In part, it says, "But whether there are gifts of prophesying, they will be done away with."

But if you mean new or clarified understanding, then yes I do believe that is still taking place. When Daniel wrote the words of his prophetic book, he was even told that some of what he was writing would not be understood until later. (Daniel 12:4). Also, the words of Proverbs 4:18 describe bible truth as being understood progressively, a light that gets brighter and brighter.
