How to get good karma?

right now i feel like im doing all the right things but getting bad karma. i dont get it. how can i get good karma?

Karma, good or bad, is simply cause and effect, spread over many reincarnations, or lifetimes. You get good karma by being the best person you can be, and by trying to learn the life lessons you need to learn. But that doesn't mean that you'll get an immediate reward if you're good, or an immediate punishment if you're not. Keep doing your best-what goes around comes around, sooner or later.

i dont believe in good karma but i do believe in making things happen your self so here's my advice. If your walking down the sidewalk and a trucks is aproaching on the road dont cross the road. if you have a can that says poisonous dont drink its content. If your standing infront of a cliff dont jump of it.

My question is who tell you what you are doing are the "right things"? It is your teacher or your family or someone else? It is not so easy to judge a "right thing".

It is a very difficult case. Maybe we have to do something right in the right environment, so we have to change our environment to the right way first.

Only your own practice in our society can tell you what is the right thing. The teacher told you something for thousands of times, you have to practice in person to feel sure of it.

I believe that most of us still have to doubt if the God is really there even they hear that the God exists everyday.

good karma comes from doing good things for others the more u think about others instead of urself it will all pay off in the end u will feel better as a person to know u have helpped someone sucessfully after ur feeling good about urself all the worse wont matter cause overtime u have been doing good things that have lead u to rewards for all ur kindness and intelligence

in india where i stay-lot of importance is attached to karma -so much so people take shelter behind this law-somebody gets killed -it is because of his karma-some body gets high position-it is because of karma-he or she does not have no kids -because of karma.hence for every walks of life karma takes an important role.as a result of which a persons tends to be defensive in nature-since what is destined to be happened is bound to happen-actually what is karma is that you have been given an opportunity in this life to make your next life more confortable-here again as per certain books your next life is also predetermined,so folks we are nothing but puppet in the hands of detiny

We're not just puppets in the hands of destiny. We can control our choices today, which will affect our karma in the future.

kindly note my reply where according to few texts even our life is also foretold -hence my view that we are puppets in the hands of destiny is perhaps correct-it is a pure assumption -

Our future lives may be foretold, but we still have the ability to make individual choices within those lives. If we never can choose to learn or grow, or to embrace good and shun evil, because everything is preordained, then there would be no purpose in living, and no such thing as karma. The whole point is that people do have free will, and their future karma is affected by the choices they make today.

'Karma' derives from the word 'karm' meaning the actions u perform. The things u do in this life. Thus if want to have good karma u should be doing good things in this life.
