Why does my iPhone 4 not change time as a cross time zones while traveling?

Go to settings, click on general, scroll to and click date and time, turn the set automatically to on.
Sometimes it takes a while before mine will adjust to a new time zone...I figured it was because I go in and out of them practically every day.

it don't know it is in a different time zone, you have to reset it.

Ok. My old " dumb phones " would change as I crossed time zones. I was thinking this phone would to. Thank you
