Absolutely not...I can doggy paddle better then any animal, and I taught myself!

Honestly for some yes and for others no, it all depends on the person honestly and just because one doesn't learn to swim as fast as others doesn't make them in competent. There's just different strokes for different folks.

No it is not hard, but you should have the will to learn it, because at first you may feel it is hard and feel afraid of being drown, but when you get rid of that fear you will learn. you just need to practice every day.

Kind of depends on your age. The younger the better. But you can learn at any time in your life. It's fun to swim.

It's not really hard but I used to take swimming lessons and I couldn't learn how to then I stopped and just tought myself.

No anyone can learn to swim at any age! Please make sure you are taught by someone that is qualified to teach swimming so that you are taught the proper way. Go to your local YMCA or go to some schools they have swimming lessons there at night. Good luck I'm sure you'll do great!
