How to handle a severe anxiety attack?

I have a severe anxiety disorder and I take medication for it, but sometimes I still have attacks. Today at school I had a SEVERE attack and started crying, shaking, nausea, and hyperventilating.

Try avoiding things which you don't like. Think before you do something. Everything will be fine!!!

It's people that make me nervous. I don't know why, but they just do. That's something I can't avoid....

Ok. You don't have to be nervous about anything around you. It's you who is wonderful. Rest all is a world. Start taking things in different way. Talk to them who makes you comfortable. It can be hard but will be helpful.

See a doctor, it can be life threatening but don't worry. Just calm down, I know its hard but sometimes you have to. ;)

I close my eyes, deep breath, and think of something good, a good memory, something I'm looking forward to, etc. I don't care whose watching. it calms me down.
And someone told me its also good to get away from people too.

I know it is hard but try to focus on one thing. Your breathing would be good a good thing to focus on. Try to slow your breathing by just focusing on it.

The best way to naturally get over them,is to face the things that give them to you and get through them.Otherwise have your Dr. switch meds, you should have Xanax as an emergency pill for anxiety.

...Sorry about that. I was saying that I was diagnosed with panic disorder 14 years ago and have it under control now. I get them time to time and each time I feel like I'm having a heart attack and die. It's the worst scary feeling especially when it comes out of nowhere. Keep reminding yourself that you'll be ok and knowing what you are going through is just that and nothing else. Breathing is key to reduce the symptoms. Have a brown paper lunch bag and use it to breathe in. It helps. I'd like to suggest taking yoga. Its a great way to keep it under control. Don't worry, you'll be ok and you are not alone. I know many many people who go through this.
