If someone had a bar code tattooed to them would it be easily read by a scanner or would it soon be stretched?...

DON'T DO IT!....I had a tattoo of a bar code I copied from a Rolex watch tattooed on my arm, after it healed, I had it scanned and it came up as a banana dum-dum pop.

It won't scan after about a month. And yes, it actually works until then. The barcode scanner reads the white spaces between the black. If you design the tattoo around an actual products code it works. My friend still has a barcode for Marlboros on his wrist.

No, it has to be programmed into the computer, even though it is copied from something that was in the store, it shouldnt show up in the data base
