When your body retains water there will be an increase in weight associated with that. That's not really a bad thing. Weight is a very poor indicator of your overall health, partly because water weight can be so misleading. Body fat index is a more reliable indicator.

Cupcakes nah kidding it's when your body keeps the water in your body instead of getting rid of it so to get it out you must be squeezed by a machine to get rid of the water kinda like a sponge

water you drink goes into your stomach not into your body and this water remove toxins, cleanses the stomach neutralizes the acids and many more. and finally it gets absorbed by the intestine and is realized into blood stream like any other food. so it does not add up any weight

Fluid retention or water weight gain is due to the cells inability to flush the water through and out of the body. This can be due to many chronic diseases such as cardiac and/or renal disorders. People who have this problem often take a diuretic (medication). Drinking water is VERY good for you. A healthy person should drink 8 eight ounce glasses of water per day. Anyone who has fluid retention - swelling in the legs or feet - should see a doctor. Hope this helps.
