I need some guidance with my parents. (Read description)

Well my dad yelled at me for no reason today, well about filing my taxes. You see I'm 18 and this is my first time filing my taxes and so I let my sister do it for me because she knows how. Me and my parents have a bad communication problem, not like arguing or anything near there, more like language and perceiving the message type and so it is already hard for me to talk to them because they don't understand me well enough. I didn't think he was going to get mad or anything about it, I just took everything in casually and calm. He's been laid off for about five years, I'm not sure what the problem could be, so he could file the taxes with mine? Not so sure. And then he rants about my friends and how they use up our stuff when the last time a friend came in was on Thanksgiving, I'm trying to be more considerate but they just don't seem to understand me and every time I try to explain, they take it in the wrong way. I am first generation and they are immigrants here in America, does culture and responsibility have a role in this? I'm just trying to connect more, but I don't think that is ever going to happen.

I think everybody is feeling the financial stress these days! Trying to keep a household running especially with children is very stressful. Things don't always get easier as you get older.
