Adam and Eve, as the first man and woman, had no mother. According to the Book of Genesis in the Bible, God created Adam from the dust of the ground and breathed life into him. He made Eve from one of Adam's ribs, or at least from part of Adam's side. So neither Adam nor Eve had a mother. Therefore they could not have had the scar on their bellies showing they were born from a mother.
A good question - Why would they need them- They were created by god " So they shouldn't need them or have a use for them-if" the story is true- However , I doubt that story- So I'm positive they indeed had belly buttons- Thanks to evolution !
There are many questions we can not answer them, because they are not useful for us. But both Adam and Eve were not embryos in the womb of a mother. Therefor there is no need for them. But still knowing is for God alone.

Another of the unprovable claims of the Bible. The most likely answer is that they never existed. The Garden of Eden, the talking snake, Eve built from a rib are all fantastical hyperbole generated by naive ancients, lacking any basis in logic or fact.
I dont understand why people keep asking this. How are we supposed to know? Maybe they did because God knew humans would have them later and let Adam and Eve fit it. Or maybe just the opposite, they didnt have them so they would out as a sign so generations of theirvancestors would notice and as why and they would then tell the story of God and the Garden and the rest of their oral tradition.
Found a scripture that says : Then Adam had sexual intercourse with Eve his wife, and she conceived and gave birth to a son, Cain (meaning "I have created") For, as she said, "With God's help, "I have created a man!" Her next child was his brother, Abel." Genesis: 4:1-2 (Living Bible). She did say with God's help.
This question is actually very clever. You are really asking, "If Adam and Eve were created directly by God, they should NOT have belly buttons. But if they evolved from apes, wouldn't they have belly buttons?" Quite frankly, we just do not know if Adam and Eve had belly buttons. We were not there, so it is illogical to claim they had belly buttons or didn't. The Church does not speak officially on HOW creation took place. The Church is mainly concerned with WHY creation too place and WHAT the implications of our creation are. So, although this might be a clever question, we just don't now the answer for sure. You will have to wait until you get to heaven to find out. Of course, God could have created Adam and Eve with belly buttons, just as He may have created them mature, rather than as children. Instead of asking whether they had belly buttons or not, perhaps we should ponder an even more profound question: "If they did have belly buttons, would they have been 'innies' or 'outies'?"
