Help. I have a friend that is cutting. I showed her the butterfly Project. But idk if it will work. What can I do?

Present her "To Write Love On Her Arms". It's a great cause- they have a website as well.

It not only helps with self-harm but emotional problems as well.

You should talk to her and if possible get her into counseling.

Well I don't think she shold do counseling. I sugestid it but she hates the idea. And we hav 4 people trying to help. So I think it's a good idea to stay a way for now but it's not of the table so it will be considered

You also shouldn't leave, check up on her once a few hours just to make sure she's alright.

I actually went through the same thing for me it was depression, and the only thing that helped me was my best friend always there and i visited a psychologist (find the right ones and they help) but really just be a friend and try to figure out why if you can just never let up that is how i finally over came it. i hope this helps...

The butterfly project is working for my friends so far, not so much for me though. Just get it clear in her head that cutting is a very very stupid escape. Constantly tell her that you love her, and if something were to go wrong you'd be lost without her...Just be sincere with your words, she needs to know that you are there for her. Good luck to you and tell her Min Ji said "Stay strong!!" <3 <3

Yes she has 2 of her best feiends and her boy friend helping. And her mom. One of the 2 friends is citing too but I'm not them I showed the the butterfly project and all but agen idk if it will work but thank you
