How should I dress for my first time ice skating?

It's in a mall, but do I just dress like I'm going skiing? I'm thinking long-johns and ski pants on the bottom. Then a long sleeve thermal, turtleneck, a fleece, and my ski jacket. Mittens and a wool hat?

It isn't as cold as you would think it would be. Where light gloves a light jacket and regular pants that arent loose but aren't too constricting. When I figure skating I other were long sleeve shirt with a vest or a hoodie.

All of it will probably make you to warm after a bit. you tend to heat up after you get your blood pumping. you would benefit from wearing long johns or light ski pants, I wouldn't do both though. of fleece would be perfect and you can also where a wool hat and whatever gloves you're comfortable with.

You could just wear a regular outfit with a sweatshirt. If your the type of person that gets really cold easily. wear something heavy.
