Is there a plan or program out there to help me pay for dentures. I am 65 and low income.

I need dentures now, but I have no money and my credit score is low.

Medicare will pay for dentures under certain circumstances, like if you have badly infected teeth and pulling them will prevent bad whole-body illness. If you're eligible for Medicaid that's another route, but Medicaid is for the most desperate financial cases. I'd recommend two things:

1) Check with the AARP at http://www.AARP.org, they usually have all sorts of resources for seniors.

2) Contact local dental colleges, often they have deeply discounted community care programs.

It's sad that the US Government will not help the elderly with the things they need... I do not know of any program that will help pay for your dentures though, sorry.

usually if you have a school of dentistry near you the well supervised students will do the work for very low fees set by the school. they do the process in phases so you also dont pay all at one time

Here in California Delta Dental offers an independent program for people who have MediCare for about $135 per year. Here is their web site. Just put in your information and it will tell you which plans are available for you.

Call the churches in your area and ask if they are willing to help if you don't have any other resource for getting discounted dentures. Bless your heart!
