What are some situations where you would use an NJ tube instead of an NG tube?

I know that NJ goes further than an NG and needs to be inserted and kept in due to how far it goes down, to where you can take an NG in and out however many times you want... NJ just seems more difficult. Why would you need that when they both do basically the same thing?

A feeding tube. I believe that the NG goes to the stomach, and the NJ goes to the small intestine. Both are inserted through the nose.

NJ when the stomach is not functioning properly. NG is really for those who can't swallow/chew.

Dont quote me on the but I believe goes further down by passing the stomach and is used on patients who have acid reflux and various other things wrong with their tummies, and the other one is used for those who have nothing to very little wrong with their tummies.
