The most powerful, and most noble emotion. If you have true love, you will always do what is best for the one you love. Even if it means you never see them again, and even if it means they will hate you for it. Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. - 1 Corinthians 14:4-8a
Love is an action taken towards another without looking for anything in return not even a thank you. Love is not a feeling. In love is in the action of doing something for someone else. That garbage of love at first sight is actually lust at first sight.
God is love==========================But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. (1 John 4:8 NLT)===============================If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn?t love others, I would have gained nothing. Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. Three things will last forever?faith, hope, and love?and the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:3-7, 13 NLT)
1 Corinthians 13:1-8 defines "love" in every sense. One of the synonyms for love is "devotion." Love is the identifying mark of true Christians. Matthew 22:39 tells us "You must love your neighbor as yourself." This is the second commandment given to us by Jehovah God.
