It should be but the contractions and pushing will be the same cause when my baby girl was born she only weighed 5 pounds and 9 ounces and it was hell pushing her out cause she would go out a bit and go back in several times like she was plying hide & seek or something xD
It's all different . If the baby is face up, I don't care if it weighs 6 pounds it's hard hard work and hurts like hell because it's going against the natural curve of the mother's body. Bikergirl is right. There are just too many things, like the cord could be wrapped around the neck . The shoulders too big. On and on and on AND ON!!!
I had a small baby. 6 lbs 2 ozs. I hadn't planned on a natural childbirth, however that's what ended up happening. Sometimes, like my experience, when the head comes through, it tears the opening going through. When things are planned and all is in place, sometimes an apesiotomy? is done to help the passage. My Dr told me that is the time husbands (jokingly?) tell him to 'take an extra stitch or two". (Wasn't the right time to share that joke with this new mother.) ha
