If a co-worker rests his leg on mine under the table, is this a sign of flirting, or completely innocent?

A co-worker and I were at a dinner event the other day, and we were seated next to each other. During the night, I suddenly found that our legs were resting on each others. It was only lightly, not firmly pressing, but it stayed like that for a good 30 minutes. There were a couple of times we stood up, and when we sat back down, our legs went back the same way. Is this completely innocent, or was he flirting/testing the waters? We are good friends, and anytime we go to events, people always think we are married. I don't know what to make of it.

Thirty minutes? And the position was the same each time you both sat down? And YOU think HE was flirting, Michelle? Hmm.

But it can be just a little innocent fun, can't it? Enjoy.

It is flirting. If you do not like it, tell him so. If he does not stop, then you need to start informing higher-ups.

If you DO like it - enjoy the moment.

Flirting for sure. Better deal with it one way or another.

There is no way to know for sure, you need to take other things into consideration.
Is he flirty otherwise? It could be you were crammed in a booth. Does he smile, ask advice, go out of his way to be with you? Does he include you in plans, like a boyfriend? Is he single? Pressing your leg on someone doesn't mean they like you, you need other clues. if he has a crush you will know.

It's hard to say. Earlier in the night, he went out of his way to buy me a drink. We pretty much are attached at the hip every time we go to any sort of event. We sit together, we hang out together, we will go out for lunch together. We talk all the time, we joke around with each other and tease each other. He does seem to go out of his way to talk to me, and I do the same with him. I certainly find myself attracted to him, but I can't tell if were just good friends, or if he thinks of me as more. Last night was the first time I ever really questioned whether or not he was flirting, I always thought he was just really friendly.

Everything sounds like it's leading that way, for sure. How long have you had the relationship and have you noticed it getting more focused, intense?
I think he like likes you. Haha! : )

IMO, guys that "flirt" -- test the water first -- have no balls.

Flirting. If you noticed it so easily, he certainly did as well, and if it went back to that position every time...
Flirting.
