HELP!
read the description below!

So I'm reading this book called to kill a mockingbird for LA and i have a study guide to go along with it and one of the questions asks why is this character a foil then it has a list of people in the book but the problem is i don't know what a foil is! please help me its due tomorrow.

In fiction, a foil is a character who contrasts with another character (usually the protagonist) in order to highlight particular qualities of the other character.
The word foil comes from the old practice of backing gems with foil in order to make them shine more brightly.

I have to read the same book for the same class and have the same problem but I think it means a troublemaker
