Do thundershirts really work for small nervous dogs?

I have a year old yorkie/Chihuahua mix that has always had issues with anxiety. Such as loud noises and strangers. I want medication to be the last resort. So I was just wondering if anyone knows if thunder shirts work for very small dogs? As she only weighs a little over four pounds.

I don't know, but I know other stuff that is very very effective. They're just dietary supplements.

I've not used this but know people who do and it works very well on dogs with severe separation anxiety.

I have used this - on myself, my dogs, cats, and horses. It's not a sedative or medication at all. It just takes away the butterflies. Personally I used this on myself during horse shows, and for the dogs and cats on vet visits. It's just a dropper with a little funny-tasting liquid in it.

I don't think those work. They are snake oil for dog lovers. Chihuahua have anxiety, I believe that is part of their makeup. My little dog is like that, too. I think all dogs are anxious about strangers and especially loud noises to a certain extent. If it's really bad, I would just go to a vet.

Thunder shirts really work for small nervous dogs. However, you need to contact a vet before using them. Read more details at http://www.thundershirt.com/HowItWorks/.
