Hmmm. You can't take liquid foundation make-up on a plane. You can take a knife, a baseball bat, and golf clubs. Hmmm. I think if you needed the knife, the baseball bat, or the golf clubs ON the plane, your mental stability may be in more question than the danger of liquid foundation in your purse.
if they are kept in the cargo area sure
I think when it comes right down to it just about anything can be used as a weapon and if someone is hellbent on bringing down a plane, they are going to bring down a plane.
no because people go on stabbing sprres on land 500000 miles in the air not so good
Personally, I believe they should be. I see no problem in it as long as it is flights that don't cross the border inside of America (I don't know other countries rights and amendments, so I can't say of them. But if they have the right to hold arms, then it applies). They could make it so that you have to get an airplane weapon license that does extensive background checks, and the weapons couldn't be military grade, or anything of that nature. But of course this idea would never be accepted.
Well usually when going into an air port the police normally checks everything if bringing a pocket knife they would either put it in your bag or not allow you to bring it.
No just because a knife is small doesnt mean it cant kill
Absolutely! Banning pen-knives on planes is as ineffective as banning guns on the street. If a person wants to do harm, they will always find a way and a weapon. You can do as much damage with a broken credit card as with a pen-knife.
No. Why would you need a knife on a plane? I could see if you were preparing for an emergency, but if you are that prepared you should know how to make a knife in the wild. So in the end...It's just more trouble.
No.
no, i'm going to take a trip to Portugal and i have to take a plane, when i'm on the plane how do i know if i'm safe if i know that pocket knives are allowed?
no because people might make you mad and you might want to stab them and you'll got to jail
As long as the knife is in a bag in the cargo area of a plane, and you have said it is for a hunting trip or something like that, sure. I say the same for any weapon.
no because some people may think your a terrorists.....HAHAHAHAHAHAHA ;D
depens on your back ground
depends on the reason your taking it.
I fly ALL the time. About 6-8 times a year. I trust myself if i had a knife on a plane. But i dont trust random strangers. People get irritable, frustrated, and can lose it easily. Of course, if someone wanted to do some harm theyd figure out a way, but why make it easier? Thats stupid.
Why would you make it public information that you can bring a knife on a plane? That's asking for trouble. Post 9/11? Horrible, horrible idea.
I totally agree with Mikababy. People will always find a way to do harm if that is really their intention so why make it easier?
People in the digital age seem to be forgetting how to interact with other people in real life. I have seen a lot of people with VERY short tempers and the thought of them having anything that could do harm to someone else scares me.
It's not good at all that they want to bring knives on planes, People are in a high risk of danger.
APSALOUTLY NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WOULD TOTALLY NOT WANT 2 KNOW THAT THE GUY SITTING NEXT 2 ME IS CARRYING A KNIFE IN HIS POCKET WHILE GOING ON A 24 HOUR FLIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WOULD NEVER GET ANY SLEEP ON THAT PLANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We can't take fingernail clippers, why on earth would we be allowed to take a knife, I'm amazed by the way some people think, especially those who think it would be okay o.O
No. Trust me, if you're in danger, there's tons of people around to save you.
Honestly, why would you need a knife on a plane? If there is something that would need to be cut, a stewertist would just cut it for you before giving it to you. (e.a Food, whatever). So honestly, no , people do not need knifes on a plane
I'm a knife collector and enthusiast(look at my profile picture) and that's got to be the dumbest idea ever! If I can go a few hours without my knives anyone can. Their is no conceivable situation where any passenger would or should need a knife on a plane. Other then the plastic one you get to eat with, and even that can be deadly in the right hands.
I think you should be able to get a license to carry concealed weapon son planes. (Maybe you can already, I don't know). Cause I don't think the general public should be defenseless to anyone sneaking weapons on board and killing someone.
no because its to dangerous and someone can get hurt very easily
no because it,s too dangerous.
No they aren't and should never be. That all depends on whether it is used for any illegal activity, which is the case here, so it should not be allowed
Yes, as long as the stewardesses and stewards are allowed to carry concealed guns. Are you serious? A ballpoint pen can be used as a weapon, a sharpened pencil, a necktie, a shoelace. . . all these things can be lethal weapons to a whacked out person.
