How do i convince my friend to work out with me?

so i weigh 102 and my friend weighs 208, she complains all the time about her weight and how im so skinny and pretty and how she wants to like me but she never does anything about it. and i dont wanna be mean but im sick of her complaining all the time if shes not gonna try anything. so how do i convince her to work out with me? because i know shes not going to wanna join me in my daily work out.

All you can do is ask her to join you. If she refuses, the next time she starts whining, tell her to do something about it or quit griping.

It's your friends choice, and it's your friends consequence, if you always do what you always did then you'll always get what you always got...

If you start yourself, your friend will soon notice the benefits and want to join.

You cant convince someone who cant convince themselves to work out and do what they half to do in order to loose weight she has to want to on her own you can try inviting her to work out with you tell her theres alot of hot guys in the gym that we can look at why we work out ,Try a zumba class tell her its just not a work out its just like a dance class,Get her into being active more go walking more like around the mall or play soccor or sports or go swimming

For some people "working out" is the most boring thing in the world - (namely me). Find different alternative activities that do not seem like "working out." Find a state park to hike and explore.

For me, I get my excercise by geocaching in forests. www.geocaching.com/about

I am hiking, climbing trees, crossing streams and otherwise working up a sweat while trying to obtain my goal of finding a piece of tupperware lost in the woods.

Well, I've had similar problems in the past. Either I'm trying to convince someone or they're trying to convince me. There are a few tactics to this. You could always make some sort of bet... Whether it's just, "I bet I can run faster than you!", or actual money, sweets, or other items being bet. Another option would be egging her on nonstop, then saying if she tries it once, just once, you'll never ask again (unless she ends up enjoying it). And if she still says no, keep asking until she says yes. Oh, and whatever workout you do, make it fun and easy. Don't run a mile, because she'll hate it. Jump roping, playing some sport, dancing, or doing zumba and pretty fun and easy. Start out with something like those, then work to harder workouts from there. She'll be much more willing.

Tell her everyone makes fun of her and calls her a fat hog and maybe she'll get self conscious

Show her some pictures of morbidly obese people. Tell her that if she wants to turn around and actually do something that will impact her, join you in working out. Tell her it's easier when you're with a friend. :o
