Is yogurt good for you when you are on a diet

Yes. Especially greek yogurt, because it has much higher protein content than regular yogurt.
Plus yogurt contains all sorts of digestive enzymes that help clean out your system.

It really is, you're right, it has a lot of protein :) My favorite way to eat yogurt is to mix it with raw oats and drizzle honey over it.

I substitute it for sour cream and make a great ranch dip out of it.

Yes, in my opinion do not get low fat. Low fat anything means they have processed it and taken nutrients out. Get whole organic greek yogurt. I really stress the organic part, it doesn't matter if it's greek or a great brand or anything, if it is not organic that usually means they have messed with the cultures or heat treated it and the bacterias that are good for your stomach are gone, so it's not good for you at all after that.

Yogurt is very good for you. So is kefir, you might want to look into getting some of that. It has some of the same benefits as yogurt.

Oh...um I think you can order it if you want it organic. But first try looking at local healthfood stores, ask the people there if they have it and how to use it. If you can't find it try looking on puritanspride website, or google it. You'll be able to find it somewhere :) It grows live, so you have to make it, like a starter. I think you just add milk to it or something, and it will continue to grow and you can keep it going. It's amazing stuff!

If you have pets that are having stomach issues you can feed it to them, dogs seem to love it!
