Lies lies and more lies. Xbox 360 has more AND much better exclusives than the ps3. Examples are gears of war, halo, fable, left for dead, and many more. The controller for the 360, if you don't already know is much more comfortable than the ps3's and the triggers were an ingenious idea (it's like you're actually pulling the trigger to a gun :D). Another reason is that the ps3 community is mostly made of kids under the age of 12, which can get tiresome quickly. And one of the most important reasons of all is that the ps3 network does not allow you to communicate with your friends if you're not in the same game together. That may sound like a small thing at first but honestly, do you want to pop in a game you hate or do not own just to be able to talk to your friend? Of course not. Well, with xbox live you don't have to. ~Argument Won~
I would go with the PS3. It is the most up to date, and well made system made so far. The PS3 has the most games being made for it, connects to wifi, and free online play (with the exception of you having internet or not).
I have both systems, I am always on my PS3. But my 14 year old son swears by his XBox. Go with XBox. They've worked all the bugs out. You won't have blue ray, and you'll pay for online. But all your friends will be able to play with you.
