There isn't. Trust me, I know. So many people call just a really intense bad headache a migraine, but that just isn't so. A migraine is so much more than just a bad headache. So much more. I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy.......if I had one.
When I get migraines, I always put my hair up in a loose pony tail, and take my right hand and massage the back of my head. You know the area of your head where it meets the neck? I massage that area, and my shoulders. I also take some Tylenol or ibuprofen. Lay down in a quiet room and try to sleep. After doing these things, I'm usually good to go! Hope you feel better soon!
Unfortunately with migraines, there is not usually a quick remedy. I get them from stress. This is what works for me: ~Drinking lots of ice water ~Lying down in a dark room ~No noise at all ~Long slow deep breaths ~Cool compress on the upper forehead and/or the back of the neck
Oh...and 4 advils!!!
Sometimes nothing works and you just have to let it run its course...which for me can also include vomiting (ugh!!!)
Migraine headaches can be serious. You need to lay down put a cold compress on your face and dArken the room along with taking Tylenol pm. If you have no other known health problems. Quiet absence of noise or soft classical music. Lay with your feet elevated in casual clothes and make sure you drink your favorite clear liquid before going to bed and also empty hour bladder. Relax and give your self a good nap. Also a Calgon bath is good but only if you have someone close by that can stand by to make sure you don't fall asleep in the tub. It will help sooth your muscles. Also if you wish a visit to a masseuse. see a doctor when you can for a follow up. and avoid if possible stress.
